A Fist Full of Film

This is the Rebellion against overproduced images often in the digital world. These are images made from my film cameras. Each image I shot myself. The subjects are often friends, and acquaintances in their world.

Mum @ St. Marks
The last time we were all together before NY was when we spread dad’s ashes at Lake Buena Vista on holiday in FL.  It was a bit smart, that the city that both my parents started American Life in, we celebrated my mum and dad’s birthdays as a family this past June.  We ate some Chinese food, and headed to the Astor Place stop for the 6 Train recognizable by the green glass and iron, to take the tube back up.  I fired this introspective shot of me mum who fancys shadows across her face.  Shooting in virtual darkness can be a bit dodgy with most other cameras, but with the Leica M6, I shot at 1.4, and 1/8th of a second.  The Leica is brilliant for just these situations.
